The Mangalz

The Mangalz
is a five piece band from New Delhi and though they do not follow a particular
genre of music, Indi-rock is the closest one can get to define the band and its
sound. An ‘eclectic’ group of musicians originally from Itanagar, Arunachal
Pradesh-the band borrows their name from an ancient Indian philosophy, which
translates to mean positivity.







Their music
is a brew of styles, moods and textures that integrate sounds from different
traditions and music systems of the nation. The environment that brought the
band together has, however, allowed them to garner a sound that mirrors the
best of modern rock combined with influences varying from 80’s rock n’ roll to
Nu-metal.







Self
proclaimed “lifelong pupils of Sangeet”, The Mangalz are stern believers in the
philosophy of original music.
