SoftRockers ‘Artha’ are one of the tightest live acts among the new crop ofNorth-east based Rock bands in the capital city in recent years, cutting looseon stage with astounding energy and a killer stage act. Theirs is a sound thatis distinct and dissimilar to any other soft-rock outfit in the scenetoday. Constructing melodies based onacoustic guitar maneuvers, the band succeeds in experimenting with feel-good pop/rock in their music by bringingin catchy guitar-hooks and sparkling and energetic vocal lines. It’s a welcomebreak from all the heavy-thinking and it’s full of something many NE bands havelacked in recent times: The Northeastern Feel. “Assam has a diverse culture andwe have put in our effort to reflect it” reads their facebook page.
