Frothy Mix On His Campaign Slogan

Frothy Mix's campaign slogan, "Let America be America again," may have been lifted from a poem by noted gay author Langston Hughes. Oopsie!

Frothy Mix To Glenn Beck: States Should Be Allowed To Criminalize Gay Sex

Former Sen. Rick "Frothy Mix" Santorum went on Glenn Beck's radio show yesterday to renew his call to criminalize gay sex. Santorum was responding to former Sen. Alan Simpson's epic denouncement of homophobic Republicans.
There were no “cruel, cruel” remarks. All I can ponder is that Alan Simpson is talking about a comment that I made, which I paraphrased, almost word for word, but paraphrased a Supreme Court justice in a case called Lawrence v. Texas, before that case came out, which had to do with, as you know, a Supreme Court case on the issue of sodomy, and I said that if you have -- if the Supreme Court changes the legal standard to say that sexual -- consensual sexual activity is now a constitutional right, then we open up the gates for all sorts of consensual activity. It’s not homophobic. It’s a legal argument, and it’s a correct legal argument. In fact, that’s exactly what’s happening. We went from Lawrence v. Texas to now a constitutional right to same-sex marriage and they’re going into a constitutional right to polyamorous relationships. This is the slippery slope that we’re heading down, and I stand by it.

Quote Of The Day - Alan Simpson

"We have homophobes on our party. That’s disgusting to me. We’re all human beings. We’re all God’s children. Now if they’re going to get off on that stuff—Santorum has said some cruel things—cruel, cruel things—about homosexuals. Ask him about it; see if he attributes the cruelness of his remarks years ago. Foul. Now if that’s the kind of guys that are going to be on my ticket, you know, it makes you sort out hard what Reagan said, you know, 'Stick with your folks.' But I’m not sticking with people who are homophobic, anti-women, moral values—while you’re diddling your secretary while you’re giving a speech on moral values? Come on, get off of it." - Former GOP Sen. Alan Simpson, speaking on MSNBC's Hardball. Hit the link for video.

Frothy Mix: I Am Personally Funding Social Security With My Seven Children

"The Social Security system, in my opinion, is a flawed design, period. But having said that, the design would work a lot better if we had stable demographic trends. We don't have enough workers to support the retirees. A third of the young people in America are not in America today because of abortion. We have seven children, so we're doing our part to fund the Social Security system." - Former GOP Sen. Rick "Frothy Mix" Santorum, speaking yesterday on New Hampshire radio.

Rep. Trent Franks: Obama May Bring Nuclear Terrorism Upon The United States

"For the first time in my life, when Barack Obama became elected, for the first time in my life, I am actually afraid that America may diminish to a point where it's just unrecognizable. Not just on the economic front, but where he puts people on the Supreme Court that have no fealty or loyalty to the Constitution and weakening our country to the extent that we may see nuclear terrorism, not in our childrens' generation, but in ours, in the near future. And any one of those could destabilize our country to the extent that it would not be the great beacon of freedom for the planet." - Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ), speaking on the American Family Association's radio show, where Frothy Mix was sitting in for usual host Tony Perkins.

Frothy Mix Won't Judge Adulterers

Former Sen. Rick "Frothy Mix" Santorum is a "washed in the blood of lamb" defender of marriage. But thrice-married Newt Gingrich, whose serial fuckery has destroyed marriages of his own? Santorum believes Gingrich is perfectly free to declare what's best for the rest of society.

PhoboQuotable - Frothy Mix Santorum

"In the heat of the American Revolution in 1777, the Continental Army was struggling to muster shoes and victory. What were two of our most heroic founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, doing? They were arguing in favor of religious liberty, giving us the precursor to what we now know as the Religion Clause of our Constitution's First Amendment - the heartbeat of our Constitution.

"Fast forward to recently when President Barack Obama claimed the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), defining marriage for federal law as one man and one woman, was 'legally indefensible.' Intellectually, morally, and constitutionally President Obama's claim is absurd. And it is a dagger aimed at the heart of a core constitutional value: the free exercise of religion. Schools, the media, and even some politicians often like to remind us of the first part of our First Amendment - that 'Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" - but tend to omit the remainder: "or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.' Last week, ignored it was." Former GOP Sen. Rick "Man On Dog" Santorum, writing for the Des Moines Register.

Fox News Suspends Gingrich And Santorum Over 2012 Presidential Plans

Fox News has suspended the contracts of paid commentators Newt Gingrich and Rick "Frothy Mix" Santorum over the pair's plans to run for the GOP 2012 presidential nomination.
Dianne Brandi, the network's executive vice president of legal and business affairs, said in an interview that the channel made the move because Gingrich aides told Fox News executives that the former House speaker is stepping up his exploration of a presidential bid. While Gingrich is not expected to announce that he is forming a federal exploratory committee this week, he is expected to say in Georgia on Thursday that he is meeting with advisors to explore seeking the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, a Gingrich aide said. Santorum, a former senator from Pennsylvania, has indicated that he plans to participate in Republican primary debates, Brandi said, "so that leads us to believe he is seriously considering running." Brandi said the network acted out of journalistic principle. "We can't have Speaker Gingrich on our payroll while he is in the midst of an exploratory committee to see if he's going to run for office," she said. "It's a clear conflict."
Fox said they'll deal with Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee if and when either of them forms an exploratory committee for 2012.

Rick Santorum Defends The Crusades

“The idea that the Crusades and the fight of Christendom against Islam is somehow an aggression on our part is absolutely anti-historical. And that is what the perception is by the American left who hates Christendom. They hate Western civilization at the core. That's the problem." - Former Sen. Rick "Frothy Mix" Santorum, who says that Christians have never persecuted Muslims.

The Frothy Mix On DOMA News

"When the definition of marriage has been put before the people, they have time and time again - from Maine to California - stood up in defense of the traditional family. President Obama's refusal to defend a law that was overwhelmingly supported on both sides of the aisle and signed into law by a president of his own party is an affront to the will of the people. This is yet another example of our president's effort to erode the very traditions that have made our country the greatest nation on earth, and it begs the question what language changed in the constitution since 2008 to reverse his position?" - Former Sen. Rick "Man On Dog" Santorum.

HomoQuotable - Dan Savage

"You have to love how Santorum is out there mewling about being the victim here and about civility—this from the man who compared people in stable, loving same-sex relationships to dog fuckers and kiddie rapists, this from a man who would make gay and straight sodomy illegal, ban gay marriage and any other protections for same-sex couples, and prevent loving same-sex couples from adopting children who need homes. This from a man who would literally destroy my family if it were within in his power to do so.

"And the 'Savage Love' gang? All we did was make a dirty joke at his expense. There has been no effort to strip Rick Santorum of his civil rights, no moves to nullify his marriage, no one has suggested that his children be taken out of his home, no one is trying to prevent him from having more children. No one has compared Rick Santorum to a dog fucker or a pedophile. Compared to Rick Santorum, my readers and I have been models of decorum and restraint.

"And don't think you're fooling us, Rick. Now that you're running for president—eight years after we redefined 'santorum' — you're whining to attract a little attention to your campaign and because your advisors think that maybe you'll get a little traction playing the pansy-assed victim card, à la Sarah Palin, and rake in a few bucks. Oh, look at all that mean gay dude—one of the guys I want to oppress—he's picking on meeeeeeeeeee!"- Dan Savage.

CNN On Santorum's Google Problem

Frothy Mix Dogs GOP 2012 Contender

Former Sen. Rick Santorum's potential bid for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination continues to be dogged by Dan Savage's eight year-old website.
Roll Call asked Santorum why he didn’t reach out to Google to try to remedy the problem. He said he never contacted the search giant directly, and his longtime consultant John Brabender dismissed the problem as a matter of free speech. “There’s still the First Amendment,” Brabender said. But Roll Call has learned that former staffers consulted technology experts years ago about their options. Ultimately, they found there was little they could do. “You can bury anything on the Internet,” said David Urban, a Santorum ally and former chief of staff for former Sen. Arlen Specter (Pa.). “But at what financial cost and at what political cost? You can bury a bad story. But how do you bury your own name?” Urban suggested that Santorum could use the Google problem to his advantage. “The site’s completely gross. But I don’t think it’s a problem politically for Rick running for president. Quite the opposite,” he said. “If you’re Rick Santorum and you’re making an argument that there’s certain people that wish you ill, there’s exhibit No. 1. You say: ‘You want to see my battle scars? Google my name. You don’t think I’ve been in the trenches for years? I’ve got the scars to prove it.’”
For those unaware, here's the quote that spawned Spreading Santorum: "And if the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything. Does that undermine the fabric of our society? I would argue yes, it does." Santorum added that the repeal of laws against consensual sodomy opened the door to legalized "man on child, man on dog" sex. Keep hitting that link, folks.

Sarah Palin SLAMS Rick Santorum

Rick Santorum says that the hassle of being a full time mommy to five kids is what kept Sarah Palin from attending CPAC. Palin: "I will not call him a 'knuckle-dragging Neanderthal.' I'll let his wife call him that."

Former Sen. Rick Santorum: President Obama Won't Denounce Terrorists

I think that bit of lying assholery deserves several thousand clicks on Spreading Santorum, wouldn't you agree?

Here's The CPAC 2011 Agenda

CPAC has published the agenda for next month's conference, where attendance will be greatly diminished thanks to all the reich-wing groups that won't be seen in the same room as GOProud. (We wouldn't either!) Still, there's a fair representation of evil here, including Crazy Eyes, Harry Jackson, Rick Santorum, and Elaine Donnelly. Meeting topics include how to stop gay marriage and how to stop the repeal of DADT. But remember, GOProud says it's easier to be a conservative at CPAC than it is to be a homocon among gays. So it's interesting that their name appears nowhere on the agenda, innit?
