Formed in January 2010, Useless Project is a Karbi-Anglong based Folk metal/Experimental band. The band is getting noticed immensely due to it’s unique sound and it’s hybrid brand of originals incorporating elements from death metal embellished with a wide spectrum of extreme metal influences. Manick and Aaron knew each other well before the formation of the band, having played together for rock outfit “Living Among Dead” previously and were later joined in by Moses and Stony to complete the line-up. Since, all the members are from different backgrounds in terms of their individual music tastes, it gives rise to a totally new and original sound.
They were one of the finalists of the 36th KYF “NO TOKLET” rock contest this year and managed to garner quite a reputation for their hardcore based Folk Metal sound.
