For a new band, ‘Farmaan’ brings together aninteresting amalgam of Indi-pop and soft-rock song frames on their debut studioeffort-‘Drihota’. Finely cut drum sequences, 70’s classic-rock driven basslinesand Call-esque guitar harmonies make this one a great effort- one that isprearranged by a basic classical melody and a solid bolly-driven sound. What’seven more fascinating is the records’ clarity (start-to-stop!), mood-bogglingvocal lines packed in with mind-boggling instrumentation- there seems to be noshortage of ways by which Farmaan can amaze its listeners. However, I wouldstill want for them to better their lyrical content next time around.
